"New derivative products will be developed by Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) in the commodity derivatives market," Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in Union Budget for 2016-17.

Sebi will develop new products like options in the
commodity derivatives market and also take a slew of measures to deepen the
corporate bonds markets.

propose to impose an excise duty of 1% without input tax credit or 12.5%
with input tax credit on articles of jewellery (excluding silver jewellery,
other than studded with diamonds and some other precious stones), with a higher
exemption and eligibility limits of Rs 6 crore and Rs 12 crore
respectively." - Jaitley
Oil prices rose
today, boosted by hopes strengthening growth in top consumer the US will soak
up a global supply glut that has weighed on markets.
At around 0830 IST, The US benchmark West Texas Intermediate for delivery in April rose 15 cents to $32.93 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
